What kind of birds are good for breeding for a good prophit

I breed birds, & between costs for their food, hand feeding formula & supplies, cages, toys, brooders, vet appointments, & everything else, u do not really make much of a profit in the long run. It is more just something u really like to do. Not to mention the immense amount of personal time that has to go into it all to come out with happy, healthy well adjusted birds. No one is going to want to buy an unsocialized, mean, parrot.

You should not start just breeding a set number of birds to try & make money. You should find a species u like, & have had as a pet, THEN think about breeding if u can actually make the commitment in both time & money, r willing to have the birds checked by a vet, & r willing to find the best possible homes for ur birds, & be willing to keep the ones u can not sell. There is always a clutch that for whatever reason does not sell as fast, or for whatever reason ends up staying with u longer.

I've been breeding birds for years now & I am still yet to make a profit lol.

It is become a lifestyle for me now more than anything, which is what stops me from chucking the whole thing in when something goes wrong & I am faced with a vet bill for several hundred dollars.

Do a lot of research on breeding & types of birds first. Be fully aware of how much time, effort & sleepless nights go into handrearing baby birds. I spend more time feeding baby birds than I did feeding my kids when they were newborns.

Also research how much it actually costs to provide everything needed for breeding birds. My feed bills alone r around $100 - $150 a month & basic vet checkup for my birds a year is $450 providing they do not need treatment for anything.

Really really look into every aspect. It is not easy, it is not cheap & it really is something that needs to be done for love not money, or u may find yourself very disappointed.

Please, do not even think of breeding bird until u have learned everything a GOOD breeder needs to know, which
is ALOT.

Few breeder is make a profit after buying what is needed for breeding & babies, plus it is very time consuming & expensive.

Do ur home work first & also talk with some local breeder's. Own the species u want to breed for many years to learn about that species also.

Unless u truly have knowledge & a passion for birds, pass & find another way to earn a living.
Do it for the birds sake.
Profit is the wrong reason to breed birds.

If your only concern is breeding for profit and not the quality and health of the birds then none. Breeding in large quantities with profit your main or only goal basically makes you a bird mill (the bird version of a a puppy mill)

If you are a good breeder, it will not make a profit. You have to pay vet bills and housing costs to get quality food and supplies. It ends up costing almost as much to raise them.

Parrots. They are very expensive birds. People love them because they can talk and they are so colorful. They really are beautiful.
